Expected pay for this position is $53.71 - $71.16/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Infection Prevention & Control provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for the ministry-wide Infection Prevention Program. This role is responsible for establishing the program's vision, strategic priorities, governance framework, and accountability structures while leading the development and execution of an enterprise-wide prevention strategy across all hospitals, ambulatory settings, and care locations.

Serving as the organization's infection prevention subject matter expert, the Director collaborates with executive, clinical, operational, and physician leaders to foster a culture of safety and advance organizational objectives related to infection prevention, workforce safety, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Through the development, implementation, standardization, and continuous advancement of evidence-based infection prevention practices, this leader drives sustainable improvement across the health system.

The Director leads system-wide efforts to reduce healthcare-associated infections, strengthen organizational performance, promote adoption of leading practices, and advance the organization's commitment to achieving zero preventable harm.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a clinical field or public health, nursing, microbiology, epidemiology, or related healthcare discipline.

Experience:

• 5 years of experience in Infection Prevention experience.
• 3 years of leadership experience.

Licensure/ Certification:

• Current licensure in clinical area of expertise.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC).

Other Skills/ Knowledge:

• Strategic leadership and program management. Advanced infection prevention and epidemiology expertise.
• Performance improvement and change management skills.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities. Ability to influence across a complex health system.
• Proficiency with healthcare analytics and Microsoft Office applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Master's degree

• Demonstrated leadership effectiveness through experience within a complex multi-hospital system.
