Travel Cath Lab​/EP Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care facility, requiring 2+ years of cath lab experience and ARRT/BLS certification.

• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
• ARRT and BLS certification required
• IL license required if applicable
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required
• McKesson cardiology PACS experience preferred but not required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

• Level 1 trauma cardiac cath lab setting with 6 suites/labs
• Average of 10 to 15 cases per day
• Cath lab operates separately from IR and EP departments
• Uses EPIC EMR along with PACS and McKesson cardiology systems
• 9-hour day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays
• Weekly rotational call requirements, averaging 8-9 call shifts per month
• Call response time is 30 minutes from time of page
• Techs are not currently required to float
• Responsibilities include scrubbing, monitoring hemodynamics, and circulating
• Cardiologists are on call 24/7, 365 days a year
• Primary charge nurse covers  and does not routinely complete cases but will take call
• Mandatory call list is utilized when staff cannot fulfill their call shift
• Unit-specific orientation typically lasts 3 to 5 days
• Scrubs are provided by the hospital
• Holiday coverage is on a rotational basis
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction on eligibility
• Negative drug screen required for all panels
