**** Summary
* * The Apprenticeship Coordinator is responsible for supporting the recruitment, onboarding, retention, completion, and employment success of apprenticeship participants at Illinois Central College. This position provides direct participant case management, monitors academic and attendance progress, coordinates support services, and works closely with employers, faculty, internal departments, and community partners to help apprentices successfully progress through their programs.
The coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for apprentices, helping participants navigate academic expectations, workplace requirements, program milestones, and available college and community resources. This position also supports grant-funded workforce programs by maintaining accurate participant records, tracking outcomes, preparing progress reports, and assisting with program coordination and compliance.
** Compensation for the Coordinator - Workforce Apprenticeships is $48,006.40 - $54,017.60 annually.
**** Essential Functions

** Provide comprehensive case management services for apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship participants from recruitment, intake, onboarding, and placement through program completion and employment success.
* Monitor attendance, academic progress, competency attainment, on-the-job learning, milestone completion, and overall participant engagement while using data and participant records to identify risk factors and support timely interventions.
* Develop and maintain individualized participant success plans and support participants in overcoming academic, personal, financial, transportation, employment, childcare, and other barriers that may affect retention and completion.
* Coordinate referrals to internal and external support services, including tutoring, advising, financial aid, community resources, transportation assistance, and other student support services.
* Collaborate effectively with apprentices, employers, faculty, staff, and community partners to assess participant needs, resolve barriers, and promote successful program outcomes through strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
* Support recruitment, intake, testing, eligibility review, onboarding, and placement activities for workforce and apprenticeship programs.
* Interpret program requirements and communicate expectations clearly to participants, employers, and community partners.
* Coordinate academic interventions and support activities, including make-up sessions, assessment retakes, tutoring referrals, and other student success initiatives.
* Maintain accurate participant records, attendance documentation, case notes, progress reports, and compliance records while ensuring confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive information.
* Track, analyze, and report program outcomes, including enrollment, retention, completion, credential attainment, employment placement, wage progression, and other grant or institutional performance measures.
* Create and deliver orientations, presentations, workshops, and participant communications related to apprenticeship programs, career readiness, support services, and program expectations.
