HR and Safety Generalist

The HR & Safety Generalist is responsible for supporting day-to-day human resources, recruiting, and workplace safety activities within our McDonough, GA manufacturing facility. This role partners closely with HR and Operations leadership to recruit and onboard employees, provide ongoing employee support, promote a safe work environment, and ensure consistent HR and safety practices across the organization. This position is preferred to have bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.

The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, hands-on, and comfortable working directly with employees and leaders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Recruiting & Staffing Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer coordination.

Build and maintain candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, referrals, and community outreach.

Coordinate interviews and maintain timely communication with candidates and hiring managers.

Maintain accurate candidate and recruiting records within Paycom.

Support hiring events and other recruiting initiatives as needed.

HR Generalist Support Coordinate new-hire pre-employment requirements, onboarding, and orientation.

Serve as an accessible HR resource for employees and respond to general HR questions.

Provide language interpretation support for employees and leaders, as needed.

Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.

Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable employment requirements.

Assist with HR programs, policies, employee communications, and day-to-day administrative needs

Safety Support Support new-hire safety orientation and reinforce company safety policies and expectations.

Assist with communicating and translating safety information.

Support documentation and follow-up related to workplace incidents, injuries, and safety concerns.

Assist with workers’ compensation administration, including documentation and employee follow-up.

Participate in safety meetings, training initiatives, and employee safety communications.

Partner with Operations leadership to promote a strong safety culture and employee awareness.

Help maintain required safety and training records.

Escalate identified workplace hazards, employee concerns, or safety issues to the appropriate leader.

Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or a related role.
2+ years of experience in safety.

Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.

Working knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, recruiting practices, and workplace safety principles.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with employees, candidates, and leaders.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

HRIS
- Paycom experience preferred.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Work Environment Position is primarily onsite in a manufacturing environment
- McDonough, GA.Must be able to flex schedule periodically to provide HR support for night shift employees.
