Cabling Technicians

Overview

VBTronics enhances security for homes and small-to-medium businesses by providing security surveillance and wireless radio communication equipment, industrial networking products, IT solutions, and telecommunication services.

We are a growing team seeking full-time Low-voltage Cabling Technicians with or without experience. Ideal candidates are passionate about installing and configuring IP camera systems, access control, alarms, POS devices, and low-voltage wiring. Familiarity with security surveillance systems, NVRs/DVRs, or network configuration experience is a plus.

We prefer applicants with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the following areas:

• Installation and configuration of IP camera and phone systems
• Video door access systems
• Network video recorders (NVRs)
• Ubiquiti WiFi devices
• Access control systems (Biomatrices, RFID Readers)
• Running and terminating Cat 5/6 cables
• Rack and fiber termination
• Wireless failover devices
• Knowledge of computer hardware
• A+ and Network+ (MCSC) setup (_plus)

• Have reliable transportation to/from work
• Technicians must have their tools for the job
• Travel to different statewide locations
• Have computer services/internet access from home
• Live within 35 miles of Rolling Meadows, IL (for an easy commute to the office)
• The ability to follow specific written directions for processes is mandatory
