Business Intelligence Developer

This is a 9 month contract and hybrid to downtown Chicago.

• Translate business requirements into effective BI reporting solutions
• Build high‑performance reports and dashboards using Tableau
• Develop scalable BI data models and optimize data sources
• Configure report security, permissions, and user access
• Create Tableau extracts and pass‑thru queries to support reporting needs
• Review and enhance dimensional data models for reporting suitability
• Partner closely with BI Leads, DBAs, and ETL teams
• Provide ongoing support to ensure availability and performance of BI assets

• 5+ years designing and developing data‑centric BI and analytics solutions
• 3+ years architecting enterprise Tableau reporting solutions
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Rancher)
• Expertise optimizing complex dashboards working with large datasets
• Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational & non‑relational databases
• Experience with Linux/command line and Git
• Background in scripting (Shell, Python, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Solid understanding of data models and data warehouse concepts
• Ability to collaborate with business users to define reporting needs
• Understanding of derivatives and financial markets (a plus)
• Experience working in SDLC environments (Waterfall, Lean, Agile)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
