Job Title:

Pricing Analyst

Location:

Montgomery, Illinois (Hybrid)

About the Company

We are a data-driven, digitally native commerce company operating at global scale. The organization combines proprietary technology and advanced analytics to dynamically price and distribute a broad product catalog across multiple sales channels. The business is in a period of continued growth and transformation, investing heavily in analytics, data platforms, and experimentation to support long‑term strategy.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Pricing Analyst to join the analytics team, focused on enabling pricing strategy across buying and selling in the U.S. market. This is an individual contributor role centered on reporting, experimentation, and analytical insight generation, with increasing exposure to simulation‑based pricing and advanced analytics as systems mature.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned analyst who can independently own analyses end‑to‑end—building datasets, defining metrics, designing experiments, and translating findings into clear, commercially actionable recommendations. This role partners closely with cross‑functional stakeholders across commercial, product, operations, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own pricing analytics initiatives end‑to‑end
  • Build and validate datasets, define metrics, develop reporting, analyze complex data, and deliver actionable recommendations tied to business value.
  • Build and maintain reporting and dashboards
  • Define, own, and standardize key metrics; develop self‑serve dashboards that are actively used by non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Support strategic and tactical pricing decisions
  • Conduct analysis to size opportunities, evaluate tradeoffs, and identify drivers of performance using an 80/20 mindset.
  • Design and execute experiments
  • Lead exploratory analysis, experiment design, sample selection, execution, and trial readouts using robust statistical methods.
  • Analyze pricing simulations
  • Partner with business and technical teams to evaluate simulated pricing outcomes and their impact on core performance metrics.
  • Validate pricing execution
  • Ensure pricing changes are implemented accurately through existing systems; investigate and debug discrepancies or errors.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally
  • Work closely with commercial, product, technology, and operations stakeholders to align analytics work with business needs.
  • Communicate insights effectively
  • Translate complex analysis into clear, concise recommendations with a strong focus on commercial impact, including presentations to senior stakeholders.
  • Improve efficiency and automation
  • Streamline recurring analyses and reporting to free up capacity for higher‑value work.
  • Contribute to analytics best practices
  • Support broader initiatives to improve documentation, standardization, and analytical rigor across the analytics community.
Requirements
  • Education
    :
    • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience
    :
    • 5+ years of professional experience in analytics or data analysis
    • Prior experience in e‑commerce, marketplaces, or pricing‑focused analytics strongly preferred
  • Technical Skills
    :
    • SQL:
Advanced querying, debugging, and working with raw data in cloud data environments
    • Data Visualization / BI:
Experience building dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools
    • Python or R:
Experience using scripting languages for analysis and experimentation
    • Experience working with large, complex datasets
  • Analytics Skills
    :
    • Root cause analysis and performance driver identification
    • Funnel analysis and drop‑off investigation
    • Experiment design and analysis (A/B testing, multivariate testing, incrementality)
    • Strong understanding of statistical rigor and analytical best practices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer analytics experience (segmentation, cohort analysis, lifetime value modeling).
  • Predictive analytics experience (regression, classification, forecasting).
  • Experience operating in ambiguous or evolving analytical environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Benefits
  • Competitive Salary:
    Market‑aligned compensation based on experience.
  • Health and Wellness:
Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Work‑Life Balance:
Hybrid working model with defined in‑office collaboration days.
  • Professional Development:
Opportunities to grow analytical scope and impact as systems evolve.
  • Additional Perks:
High visibility work, cross‑functional exposure, and ownership of critical pricing initiatives.
