Job Overview

A part‑time facilitator is needed to teach for the IT Accelerator/Good Jobs EDA Grant. The grant is in place until December 2026, to help train and upskill 1,000 new and existing IT professionals in the Greater Peoria areas. Compensation for the PT Facilitator‑Information Technology is $45.00 an hour. The facilitator will teach noncredit certification courses and boot camps in classroom or hybrid modalities, primarily in evenings or weekends.

Functions
  • Work with a curriculum designer to prepare course syllabus that includes activities and learning objectives.
  • Record attendance and collect information on students’ progress.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert while engaging students in the learning process.
  • Maintain student confidentiality.
  • Perform related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or higher plus certification in any of the above IT areas OR 5 years of progressive work experience in IT.
  • Proficient in Power BI.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT field.
  • Master’s degree in IT field.
  • Experience in training/teaching.
  • Industry‑recognized certification such as CompTIA certifications, PMP, or cybersecurity certifications.
