Job Summary

Join the Analytics Engineering team of Cat Digital and perform analytical tasks and initiatives on One Funnel and One Site programs with a focus on development and support of data-driven business decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure using AWS Services, MWAA Airflow, Snowflake, GIT and Azure Dev Ops CD-CI pipelines.
  • Work with other team members to ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of our data systems.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices related to data engineering and related technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues with data pipelines and systems.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for data engineering processes and systems.
Required Qualifications
  • Analytical Thinking:
    Working knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Query and Database Access Tools:
    Working knowledge of data management systems; ability to use, support and access facilities for searching, extracting and formatting data for further use.
  • Requirements Analysis:
    Working knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Considerations for Top Candidates
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Working experience applying SQL and Python (Num Py, Sci Py, pandas, etc.) programming to solve business challenges.
  • Working knowledge with cloud technologies (AWS, MWAA Airflow, S3, EC2, etc.).
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines (Azure Dev Ops, Git Actions, or equivalent).
  • Experience with data structure (JSON, XML, or equivalent).
  • Experience with automated testing (Regression tests).
  • In-depth technical and problem-solving skills and evidence of continuous learning in the analytics field.
  • Working experience with version control / repositories such as Git Hub.
  • Experience operating in an Agile environment.
  • Must demonstrate strong initiative, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops, AWS Cloud, Managed Warehouse for Apache Airflow (MWAA), Github, Snowflake/Snowpark pipelines, SQL, Python, AI/ML, Microsoft Office, Power App Tools, Power BI, and automation capabilities.
Location

This position will be based out of either our Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL offices.

Compensation

Summary Pay Range: $89,210.00 - $. Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
