Private Wealth​/Trusts & Estates Attorney

• Base Salary: $170,000 to $275,000 (DoE) + Plus Bonus
• Billable Requirement: 1,850 hours

I am seeking an Associate to join my firm client's sophisticated Private Client group. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals and families, guiding them through the complexities of estate planning, tax mitigation, and wealth preservation.

• Craft sophisticated estate plans that emphasize asset protection, multi-generational wealth transfer, and the minimization of estate and gift tax burdens.
• Navigate families through the sensitive process of trust and estate administration and probate proceedings.
• Advise on charitable giving strategies and tax-exempt organizations.

• 1+ years of dedicated experience in Trusts & Estates law (Big Law or boutique experience preferred).
• Proven ability to draft complex wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and sophisticated tax-planning documents.
• Familiarity with federal and state gift/estate tax laws and probate court procedures.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the Illinois Bar.

To bridge the gap between law school and partnership, the firm hosts a monthly Academy. You will receive hands-on training from the firm’s leadership on the business side of law that most firms and law schools never teach:

  Strategies for building a sustainable client pipeline and the art of "closing."

  Strategic delegation and workflow management to maximize your personal time.
