Auction Services Associate

Position Overview

As an Auction Services Associate, you are responsible for zone maintenance, vehicle preparation, receiving, inventory scanning, reconciliation, quality control of saleable inventory, vehicle movement, asset protection, and providing exceptional service to internal and external customers. You ensure the quality and security of our vehicle inventory and smooth operations.

• Maintain daily inventory appearance and security while ensuring vehicle zones and parking areas remain organized.
• Document and track inventory through shipping and receiving to support accurate records.
• Receive, prepare, and process vehicles, capturing photos, securing keys, and ensuring readiness for sale or auction.
• Assist with auction operations by preparing, coordinating, and executing activities for a seamless experience.
• Participate in new associate training by sharing best practices and reinforcing safety and operational standards.
• Complete daily inventory scanning and reconciliation to maintain real‑time visibility.
• Follow Car Max Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and maintain a clean workspace.

• Ability to read, interpret, and enter data accurately.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with associates across departments.
• Strong multitasking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Awareness of inventory management with willingness to learn and strengthen skills.
• Commitment to complete all Car Max training and follow procedures.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays, and operate in outdoor environments under inclement weather while wearing required apparel.

Hourly Rate: $16.00 - $25.60
