About Us

Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) provides transportation services including FTL, LTL, brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs. We connect Maersk or Customer warehouses, depots, cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a network led by operations and technology to service multi-channel customers.

Last Mile Site Leader – Peoria, IL. Weekend availability is required.

• Coordinate flow for communication between Haulers/Delivery Teams/Flatbed Drivers, Call Center, and Local Client Management Teams.
• Provide on-site presence on daily, weekly, or bi-weekly basis to ensure Haulers/Delivery Teams follow procedures.
• Oversee recruiting, processing, and performance of Haulers.
• Develop and maintain relations with vendors.
• Ensure follow up on shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, and in-home damage claims.
• Interface with end customers to ensure effective in-home delivery for customers.
• Maintain monthly operation reports that include statistics and customer service scores.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Excellent mathematical skills with ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to analyze technical information as it pertains to the business and market.
• Strong problem solving and reasoning abilities with the capacity to develop creative solutions.

• Pay Range: $85k-$90k per year. The stated range is the anticipated starting salary; final offer may vary by location and market conditions.
