Love leading people but don't mind rolling up your sleeves? We're looking for you! ESS Clean is looking for a dependable, hands-on supervisor to lead cleaning teams and oversee customer locations in the Peoria area.

This position combines employee supervision, customer service, quality control, and hands-on cleaning. You'll spend your time supporting associates, visiting sites, solving problems, and making sure our clients receive the excellent service they expect. And yes, you'll clean, too! When employees are absent or positions are vacant, you'll step in and perform cleaning duties yourself. We're looking for someone who is just as comfortable doing the work as they are leading the team.

• Supervise, train, coach, and support cleaning associates at multiple client locations
• Visit assigned buildings to inspect work and maintain cleaning quality
• Train new associates and provide ongoing support and feedback
• Address associate performance concerns and complete performance reviews
• Build positive relationships with clients and help resolve service concerns
• Coordinate supplies, equipment, and other needs at assigned locations
• Help get new client locations up and running
• Fill in for absences and open positions by performing general cleaning duties, including restroom cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and trash removal
• Promote safe work practices and help associates understand proper cleaning procedures

• At least two years of supervisory experience
• Someone who enjoys leading people and isn't afraid to jump in and help
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership
• Willingness to learn the ins and outs of commercial cleaning — we'll train you on our methods, equipment, products, and safety practices
• Ability to travel between customer locations
• Ability to work evenings Monday through Friday
• High school diploma or GED

This is an active position that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. You'll need to be comfortable performing commercial cleaning duties and using equipment such as vacuums, mops, and floor-cleaning machines.
