Accounting Manager

Overview

Our client is a well-established consulting firm headquartered in Chicago and is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. • Review and maintain accounting policies and procedures
• Develop and implement new finance and accounting processes as needed
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements, reporting and analysis
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Conduct financial audits and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls over accounting transactions
• Coordinate provisions and tax planning and preparations
• Manage and mentor direct reports

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
• CPA Required
• 6-10+ years of senior accounting experience ideally in a management position
• Experience developing and implementing accounting operation systems, policies and procedures
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• People management experience leading and supervising an accounting team
• Good interpersonal skills with emphasis on leadership, relationship development, and influence management
• Experience with multi-currencies a plus
• Experience with Net Suite a plus
