Principal Consultant – Retail Supply Chain Transformation (WMS/TMS)

We’re partnering with a global management consultancy supporting a major US retail client through a large-scale supply chain transformation.

They seek a Principal-level leader with deep retail and supply chain change experience to help shape and stabilise the next phase of delivery.

This is a high-visibility engagement tied to one of the largest capital investments in the client’s history. The transformation spans:

• WMS & TMS implementation
• Repurposing of an existing DC (Illinois)
• Complex stakeholder landscape across operations and executive leadership

You will operate at Principal level, providing senior oversight, supply chain credibility, and change leadership across the programme.

• Acting as a senior supply chain transformation lead within the client environment
• Providing strategic oversight across WMS/TMS implementation and DC transformation
• Partnering with programme leadership and vendor teams
• Supporting governance, risk and executive reporting structures
• Ensuring clarity, alignment and momentum across work streams
• Engaging senior operational stakeholders within a retail setting

• Proven experience leading retail or supply chain transformation initiatives
• Strong exposure to WMS/TMS implementations in multi-site environments
• Credibility operating at Principal / Senior Managing Consultant level
• Consulting background strongly preferred
• Comfortable with travel across Illinois and Ohio (on-site every other week)
• Gravitas, clarity of communication, and strong stakeholder presence
