Job Overview
Supervisor, Inventory & Management Distribution (IMD) responsible for coordinating, distributing and delivering biologic products to client hospitals. The supervisor oversees daily operations and works as part of the IMD team.
Work ScheduleFull‑time position:
Monday‑Friday 8 AM‑4 PM with on‑call duties and coverage on 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends as needed.
- Support department and MVRBC initiatives.
- Oversee assigned staff, including counseling, scheduling, and payroll duties.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in compliance with SOPs, including logistics and delivery of optimal customer service.
- Participate in preparation of departmental budget and benchmarking.
- Monitor departmental and customer inventory management.
- Validate processes and equipment.
- Develop and oversee departmental training.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus an additional 2 years of formal preparation preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or inventory management preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory/management role preferred.
- Experience in blood or pharmaceutical inventory management, hospital customer relations, or logistics preferred.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of customers and staff (paid and volunteer).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to operate Blood Center vehicles.
- Physical requirements:
ability to stand, sit, and perform regular physical exertion such as reaching, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
