Blood Center Distribution Supervisor

Job Overview

Supervisor, Inventory & Management Distribution (IMD) responsible for coordinating, distributing and delivering biologic products to client hospitals. The supervisor oversees daily operations and works as part of the IMD team.

Full‑time position:
Monday‑Friday 8 AM‑4 PM with on‑call duties and coverage on 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends as needed.

• Support department and MVRBC initiatives.
• Oversee assigned staff, including counseling, scheduling, and payroll duties.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in compliance with SOPs, including logistics and delivery of optimal customer service.
• Participate in preparation of departmental budget and benchmarking.
• Monitor departmental and customer inventory management.
• Validate processes and equipment.
• Develop and oversee departmental training.

• High school diploma or equivalent plus an additional 2 years of formal preparation preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or inventory management preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory/management role preferred.
• Experience in blood or pharmaceutical inventory management, hospital customer relations, or logistics preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of customers and staff (paid and volunteer).
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate Blood Center vehicles.
• Physical requirements:
  
  ability to stand, sit, and perform regular physical exertion such as reaching, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
