Large multi-billion-dollar international manufacturing company located in the Chicago Illinois area is looking for a Plant Director that has run a glass plant.
Job Duties- Set and manage strategic goals, managing operation resources, technical oversight, and ensuring budget commitments are achieved.
- Oversee business strategies, budget management, cost management, and maintaining vigilance to Safety, Environmental, and Financial stewardship.
- Manage a team of associates with responsibilities in safety, productivity, quality control, supply chain, and maintenance, commercial development, and financial management to ensure commitments are achieved.
- Responsible for delivering OPSP performance to budget.
- Operational KPI excellence and continuous improvement (i.e. PTM, safety, OH, FTE, CNQ, OT).
- Oversee the daily manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets.
- 10+ years experience working in a plant manufacturing environment.
- 5 years in a leadership role within a glass manufacturing
. - Experience in compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, GMP, ISO) and a strong understanding of quality control.
- Experience in budget development-management, cost control, and optimizing manufacturing processes for efficiency and profitability.
- Strong continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma projects.
