Role

Description:

This is a full-time, on-site Test Technician role based in Dixon, IL. The Test Technician will perform routine and specialized tests on filtration products and components using a variety of test equipment and instruments. Responsibilities include setting up test rigs, conducting measurements, recording and analyzing test data, and documenting results according to established procedures. The role also involves troubleshooting test setups and equipment issues, assisting with calibration activities, and working closely with engineers and production teams to support product development and quality assurance.

The Test Technician will follow safety and quality standards, maintain an organized work area, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Hands‑on technical skills in soldering and working with electronic or mechanical assemblies.
  • Proficiency with test equipment and basic calibration practices for instruments and fixtures.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities for test systems, product performance issues, and equipment faults.
  • Effective communication skills for documenting results, reporting issues, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
  • Relevant technical diploma or associate degree in electronics, mechanical technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, test procedures, and specifications.
  • Comfort working in a lab or production environment while following safety and quality guidelines.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, reporting, and use of laboratory or manufacturing software; prior experience in manufacturing or product testing is a plus.
