The major function of this position is:Organize, inspect, perform frame adjustments/repairs, systematically log in SAP and transfer product to warehouse or other departments.
Hourly Rate of Pay: $18.00/Hr.
1st Shift: Monday through Friday (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Verify physical and system inventory counts of incoming and outgoing product.
- Use and understand AQL frame sampling plan.
- Use technical drawing and print details to evaluate frames to ensure they comply with Maui Jim standards.
- Log frame defects in the Fiori program.
- Analyze defects and determine if they can be repaired.
- Use frame heaters in a high capacity to rework frames that are out of alignment.
- Use frame heaters to fix varnish issues on glossy frames.
- Switch out and replace lenses in frames.
- Use frame polisher to repair frame defects (pits, scratches, polish marks).
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble frames.
- Use SAP to document inspected good/defective product by either restricting if from inventory use or releasing it for picking.
- Use SAP to transfer product within the QC department or between departments.
- Perform all other work-related duties as requested or required.
- Organize and stage incoming and outgoing workflow.
- Ensure that all labeling is correct and meet Maui Jim standards.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack.
- Ability to visually inspect product for defects.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to identify the different parts of an eyeglass frame (nose pads, temples, hinges, eye wire, and lenses).
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- SAP experience.
- Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Basic Math skills (calculating percentages and averages).
- Attention to detail.
- Critical Thinking and Problem solving.
- Ability to work mandatory overtime including Saturdays if needed.
High school graduate with 1-2 years quality control experience.
