Job Overview

Organize and manage the production coordinators and control of production and inventory associated with the manufacturing organization using production and assembly schedules, capacity reports, status reports and other appropriate sources of information. Oversee the forecasting, scheduling, production, procurement, and shipping of Peoria-sourced service parts and direct-ship orders for PPD.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Assure the on-time delivery of components to assembly lines and the Service Parts organization by effectively forecasting, scheduling, and expediting parts to stabilize schedules, maximize parts availability and minimize inventory investment.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and minimize quantity adjustments by monitoring BOM and other system parameters, policies and regular cycle counts.
  • Prepare and/or organize assembly, sub‑assembly and Sales Order picking schedules to support the timely distribution of material from the warehouse to the assembly lines, sub‑assembly areas or PPD.
  • Plan, organize and control schedulers' activities and performance including preparing performance appraisals, issuing work assignments, attendance vacation and assessing the quality of work performed.
  • Expedite purchased and manufactured parts shortages to avoid delays in components manufacturing.
  • Direct and control the timely execution of completion and close out of production orders supporting assembly projects.
  • Initiate manufacturing scheduling meetings and provide status information on finished equipment inventory, Sales Order shipments, back orders and miscellaneous equipment orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • B.S. Degree or equivalent and on-the-job training.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a related position in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Parts applications.
  • APICS certification a plus.
  • Direct knowledge of Manufacturing Planning Systems such as MRP, JIT, etc.
  • Knowledge relating to manufacture and service of Off‑Highway Equipment.
  • Direct knowledge of Parts Forecasting Systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of company policies, interpersonal skills, analytical ability, and good judgement.
Physical Requirements
  • Regular sitting, standing, and walking in a manufacturing factory environment.
  • Occasional lifting, up to 10 pounds.
Hiring Range

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $64,640 - $80,800. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
