CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift

Full Time – 2nd Shift

Base pay $29–$33/hr plus shift differential and incentive. Sign‑on bonus schedule: $1,000 at start, $1,500 after 90 days, and $2,500 after 1 year.

Set up and operate CNC machine tools and milling machines to machine metallic work pieces.

• Write CNC programs using CAM or CNC machine programming language.
• Set up and run CNC machines.
• Complete paperwork to maintain records and department standards.
• Read complex blueprints, job orders, tooling instructions, and determine sequence of operations.
• Select and secure tool holders and work pieces.
• Design and fabricate moderate fixtures and holding devices, and set up complex fixtures.
• Observe machine operation and verify conformance to specifications.
• Study specifications, compute dimensions, plan layout, and determine method and sequence of operations.
• Achieve desired quality on parts manufactured personally and by junior machinists, maintaining high labor efficiency.

• Work in other departments as required by workloads.

• 4–8 years experience setting up CNC lathes and mills.
• Extended standing; able to lift 50 lbs.
• Good vision for inspecting work and preparing programs/drawings on computer.
• Safety‑oriented in the use of all machinery.
