Rheo Engineering is seeking a Custom TIG Welding Fabricator to build precision components for advanced powder handling and containment systems serving pharma, chemical, and related industries. In this hands-on role, you'll interpret blueprints, perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless and specialty alloys, and complete fit-up and fabrication of custom assemblies. You'll collaborate closely with engineers and technicians, uphold strict safety and quality standards, support continuous improvement, and help deliver reliable, operator-safe equipment for regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel and specialty alloys for custom equipment and assemblies
  • Interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings to build precise components
  • Fit, align, and assemble fabricated parts to meet tight tolerances and quality standards
  • Inspect welds and components, perform basic rework, and document quality as required
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to resolve fabrication issues and refine designs
  • Operate fabrication tools and equipment safely, following all Rheo Engineering safety protocols
  • Support continuous improvement, 5
  • S, and lean practices on the fabrication floor
  • Assist with equipment setup, material handling, and staging of parts for downstream operations

Required Skills

  • TIG welding (stainless and specialty alloys)
  • Blueprint and weld-symbol reading
  • Fabrication, fit-up, and assembly
  • Use of fabrication tools (saws, grinders, brakes)
  • Precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Weld inspection and quality control
  • Fixture setup and jig fabrication
  • Basic TIG welding parameters and troubleshooting
  • Safe material handling and rigging
  • Understanding of GMP or regulated manufacturing environments
