As a CNC Machinist and Lathe Technician, you will play a vital role in our production floor by transforming raw materials into precision-engineered components. You will leverage your expertise in CNC programming and machine operation to ensure every part meets rigorous quality standards while optimizing manufacturing efficiency.

As a CNC Machinist and Lathe Technician, you will play a vital role in our production floor by transforming raw materials into precision-engineered components. You will leverage your expertise in CNC programming and machine operation to ensure every part meets rigorous quality standards while optimizing manufacturing efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret complex blueprints, CAD drawings, and job routings to determine optimal machining sequences and tooling requirements.
  • Configure and secure fixtures, tooling, and stock to ensure high-precision fabrication on CNC centers and lathes.
  • Execute CNC programs, manage tool offsets, and monitor machine cycles to maintain consistent production output.
  • Perform comprehensive quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify tolerances.
  • Conduct first-piece inspections and make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet exact customer specifications.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of a job, from initial setup and program loading to final teardown and tool maintenance.
  • Document production progress, including piece counts and time tracking, to ensure accurate inventory and routing data.
Qualifications Required Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-6 months of hands‑on experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude, including the ability to convert between metric and imperial units.
  • Demonstrated ability to use precision measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.
Preferred Skills
  • Prior experience with specific CNC controller interfaces.
