Join a Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) travel nursing contract in Peoria, IL 61637. This Cath Lab RN role supports both scheduled and emergent cardiac procedures and provides focused care across the peri-procedural continuum.

• Contract Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Cardiac Cath Lab (6 suites/labs)
• Schedule: 10 Hour Days
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Call Requirements: 6–8 call shifts/month; weekend call approximately every 6–7 weekends (Fri evening through Mon morning); additional 24-hour backup weekend shift about once/month;
  Easter BU call shift
• Charting System: Epic
• Equipment/Technology: GE and Philips monitors;
  McKesson (unit software/technology)
• Estimated Weekly Pay Range (candidate pay): $2,820–$2,970

• Experience: Cath Lab RN experience with ability to interpret cardiac rhythms/telemetry strips; occasional drip titration as needed
• License: Active Illinois RN license (or proof of application in process)
• Certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS (required)
• Clinical Skills: Interpret cardiac rhythms/telemetry strips; monitor hemodynamics; comfort titrating drips/vasoactive medications as needed
• Availability: Willingness to participate in weekday/weekend call rotation for emergent cases, including Easter BU call shift

• Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Support cardiac presentations and procedures including STEMI, NSTEMI, HF, congenital, TAVR, MITRACLIP, and PERIPHERAL
• Monitor hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms; recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer and titrate medications/drips per protocol and provider orders
• Work alongside Cath Lab staff (RNs, technologists, and providers) to support safe patient care during procedures
• Participate in on-call response for emergent cases and assist with circulator duties as needed
• Document patient care accurately and timely in Epic (EMR)
• Maintain a clean, safe procedural environment and follow all applicable hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection prevention guidelines
