Advanced Practice Nurse/APRN, Nurse Practitioner
OSF Health Care seeks experienced ACNPs or new graduate ACNPs with critical care nursing experience to apply for multiple full‑time or part‑time positions at our award‑winning hospitals: OSF St. Francis Medical Center and OSF St. Joseph Medical Center.
As an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant), you will manage the care of critically ill adult patients, working in close collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests.
- Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatments.
- Perform invasive procedures in accordance with established protocols, policies, and evidence‑based practice standards.
- Participate in the assessment and management of new admissions to the critical care unit.
- Provide expert education, consultation, and patient advocacy to ensure optimal outcomes.
Full‑time: three 12‑hour shifts per week, part‑time: two 12‑hour shifts per week. The position offers an excellent benefits package and a salaried compensation range of $60.39–$68.10 per hour.
Required Qualifications- Licensed to provide advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois (Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation) or physician assistant services in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987.
- Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois for prescribing narcotics.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP).
- At least 2 years of critical care patient management experience.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, hospital environment while maintaining patient‑centered focus.
- Experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse in a hospital or critical care setting.
- ICU nursing experience.
