Current Registered Nursing License in Illinois Required

Associates Degree Required;
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Preferred current experience (within past 2 years). New graduates considered.

• Exemplary critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills required;
• Ability to work independently as part of a multi-disciplinary team;
• Demonstrated strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.

• Provides professional nursing care within our Medical Surgical Unit;
• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
• Determines priorities of care based on physical and psycho social needs of patients.
• Communicates with physicians regarding changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Strives to improve team effectiveness, system processes and patient outcomes across the continuum of care.
• Willingness to cross-train to other departments preferred.
