Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Peoria, Illinois. Candidates must bring their nursing license on the first day. The role involves providing specialized care to post‑open‑heart surgical patients, including those with cardiac events, ventilated patients, and patients with complex cardiovascular devices.

• Shift: 12‑hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Illinois RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association, minimum of 2 years ICU experience in cardiovascular critical care, ability to interpret strips, strong assessment skills, experience with titratable drips including dopamine, dobutamine, vasopressors, sedatives, insulin, and heparin, proficiency in managing ventilators and cardiac monitoring systems.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification is a plus.
• Additional Information:
  The unit is equipped with advanced cardiovascular intervention equipment such as intra‑aortic balloon pumps, Impellas, Swan‑Ganz catheters, ECMO, external pacemakers, and CRRT lines. Staff will manage all aspects of cardiovascular ICU care including ventilated patients, multiple drips, EP patients, VAD, and transplant patients. The unit maintains a high‑paced environment, requiring critical thinking and fast adaptation.

Cross Country Job . Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
