Estimated pay package is based on bill rate l rates can change frequently and without notice. Exact pay package may vary based on guaranteed hours, distance traveled, and customizations available for travelers.

Unit details:

• Beds: 20 private, all monitored
• Patient ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 2:1 depending on acuity
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred, CCRN a plus
• Common diagnoses: post open heart surgical patients—CABG, Valves, Dissections, AAA, Vascular procedures, Carotids, post cardiovascular procedures, STEMI, unstable angina, N-STEMI, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, targeted temperature management, pacing, severe heart failure, TAVRs, ventilated patients, COVID patients, post VAD placement, post heart transplant
• Equipment: IABPs, Impellas, Swan Ganz, ECMO, External Pacemakers, CRRT
• Lines: PICC, Midlines, CVC, Arterial (radial/femoral)
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 2 years of CVICU, preferably more; capable of managing assigned patients immediately; strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, organization, teamwork, compassion, and time management
• Drip management: dopamine, dobutamine, levophed, epi, neo, vasopressin, cleviprex, propofol, fentanyl, versed, insulin, heparin, esmolol; both set rate and titrate by order
• Staffing support: 24/7 charge nurses, house supervisor; PCTs with 1:12–1:15 ratios; CV APNs/PAs; respiratory therapists; monitor techs;
  Philips monitoring; ventilators, CPAP, BPAP, high flow, nitric oxide
• Shift schedule: 12 hrs (7a-7p or 7p-7a); no self‑scheduling for non AHU Mission Partners; every other weekend (dayshift: Sat–Sun; night shift: Fri–Sat); every other holiday; float to all care levels
• Dress code: appropriate scrubs (not too tight, no falling off)
