Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department | 13-Week Contract | Days

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel contract. This is a day shift position with rotating call and night shift requirements. The RN will provide high-quality emergency care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat, and monitor patients in a fast-paced ED environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Deliver emergency nursing care and implement appropriate interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC.
• Promote patient and staff safety by following established protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Support professional development through teamwork and peer collaboration.

Schedule:

• Day Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
• 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule (13-hour call shifts; must be able to report onsite within 1 hour)
• 2-week night rotation required for all travelers
• No block scheduling
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• EPIC experience required
• Level II Trauma or higher experience preferred
• Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Active Illinois RN License
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) required
• TNCC highly preferred
