  • Compensation: 12-hour shifts, 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation), tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
Responsibilities
  • Perform all responsibilities and duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service.
  • Implement procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure integration of information for use by the healthcare team.
  • Complete initial assessment upon patient admission and develop appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards and based on patient and family needs.
  • Implement plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
  • Modify plan of care based upon continuous evaluation.
  • Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents.
  • Communicate with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues.
  • Offer constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers, and confer with colleagues to expand knowledge base.
  • Identify own learning needs and take initiative to begin appropriate solutions.
  • Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience. (Preferred: N/A)
  • Education: Required ASN;
    Preferred BSN.
  • Certifications & Licensure: Illinois state RN license in good standing; BLS (American Heart Association); ACLS (American Heart Association).
  • Skills: Nursing, Patient Care, Nursing Process, Documentation, Patient Assessment, Plan of Care Development, Nursing Interventions, Safety Reporting, Professional Development.
