Hospice Field Staff Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Hospice of Southern Illinois is a not‑for‑profit, community‑based hospice providing comprehensive end‑of‑life care to patients and families across Southern Illinois and the St. Louis Metro‑East region. This role is based out of the Belleville, IL office.

• Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team, provide direct and indirect patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and organizational policy.
• Hourly pay: $28.72. Full‑time, non‑exempt.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM plus a rotational on‑call schedule that includes evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. On‑call duties are limited.
• Location:
  
  Work primarily out of the Belleville Patient Services Office and travel within the northern service territory (Clinton, Madison, Bond, Montgomery, Macoupin, Jersey, and Calhoun counties).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation; mileage reimbursement is $0.70 per mile.

• Graduate of a state‑approved nursing school.
• Completed Licensed Practice Nurse education.
• Current Illinois LPN license.
• One year of hospice experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Excellent clinical assessment, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, hospice regulations, and third‑party payer expectations preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to perform patient care tasks, including lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally and carrying out tasks that require bending and squatting; requires vision >20 inches to
