• Degree from an accredited nursing program

• At least eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care oncology setting

The Oncology RN will provide care for critically or chronically ill cancer patients, administer chemotherapy, implement symptom management methods, and monitor patient progress. Oncology nurses may also specialize in areas such as pediatric hematology/oncology or breast cancer.

• Provide care for cancer patients throughout all stages of their conditions, usually focusing on the acute phase.
• Assist patients ranging from post‑surgical to near‑terminal in managing their disease and treatment.
• Educate cancer patients about treatment options, procedures, and disease specifics.
