Position: Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,340 per week

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel RN oncology nurse for a work assignment in Peoria, Illinois.

Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) oncology role on the medical‑surgical oncology floor. This position involves delivering high‑quality patient care to patients with a range of cancer diagnoses, including lymphoma, leukemia, hematology, and radiation oncology. The assignment calls for utilization of EMR documentation and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced, acute care setting.

Responsibilities
  • Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy medications.
  • Monitor patient responses and manage medication side effects.
  • Troubleshoot equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, telemetry monitors, and chemotherapy infusion sets.
  • Collaborate with charge nurses and nurse aides on patient care plans.
  • Float to general medical‑surgical units as needed, with float episodes lasting four hours or more.
  • Maintain patient records using Epic Beacon EMR.
Qualifications
  • Valid Illinois RN license or proof of application.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association).
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate.
  • At least one year of nursing experience.
  • Experience administering IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy medications, including set‑rate drips such as heparin and chemotherapy.
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring (Phillips monitors). – Preferred
  • Knowledge of radiation oncology patients – Preferred
