Job Description:
Join us for a rewarding travel assignment in Peoria, Illinois, working on a dedicated neuroscience unit that handles a variety of complex cases such as stroke, spine surgery, seizures, and brain tumors. As a registered nurse, you’ll operate primarily during 12-hour night shifts, providing exceptional care to neuro patients in a 54-bed unit with a nurse‑to‑patient ratio of approximately 1:4 to 1:6, supported by nurse aides and telemetry staff.
This role offers the opportunity to apply your trauma and neuro unit experience, including titrating heparin drips and managing high‑flow oxygen therapy for COVID‑19 patients when needed. Expect to collaborate closely with charge nurses and house supervisors who ensure smooth shift operations, along with a strong team of patient care techs. The facility emphasizes professionalism with a 2‑day unit orientation and a focus on safety, including drug screens and a drug‑free environment.
