• Perform physical examination and establish medical history to determine donor suitability.
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Ensure donor and staff confidentiality.
• Promote donor awareness of potential hazards.
• Provide donor education regarding general health and counsel regarding unacceptable test results.
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.
• Perform evaluations of any history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability.
• Assist in employee training.
• Administer employee Hepatitis vaccine program.

Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT. Current CPR certification required.

• Work is performed both standing and sitting for up to 2 to 4 hours per day.
• Position requires bending and twisting of the neck up to 1 to 2 hours per day.
• Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
• Ability to make precise coordinated movements of the fingers to grasp and manipulate objects.
• Frequent foot movement; may squat, crouch, or sit on heels occasionally. Occasionally walks, bends, and twists at waist.
• Light lifting up to 15 lbs, with a maximum lift of 50 lbs. May reach below shoulder height. Hearing acuity essential.
• Color perception/discrimination and vision: 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other eye.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas so others understand and to listen to information presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Works independently and within guidance of oral or written instructions.
• Performs a wide range of tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions.
• Relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Work is performed in a plasma center.
• Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms.
• Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment.
• Exposure to extreme cold below 32°F while performing functions in plasma freezers. Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments, gloves and cold gear.

Pay ranges: $22–$23.50 per hour for EMT-B; $24–$27 per hour for EMT-A; $26–$29 per hour for PARA; $25–$28 per hour for LPN; $35–$38 per hour for RN. Position eligible for up to 4% of company bonus pool. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, up to 5% 401(k) match, and tuition reimbursement. Final compensation depends on education, experience, skillset, location, internal equity, and market data.
