The Emergency Room (ER) Nursing position is based at a medical facility in Peoria, Illinois. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, from newborns to the elderly, with varying levels of acuity. The position requires delivering specialized trauma and emergency services within a Level 1 trauma setting.

08/17/2026 - Required Qualifications:
Certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC or TNS;
Illinois active or pending license; 2 years of nursing experience; at least one prior travel assignment preferred; proficiency with vasopressor and cardiac drips; general nursing skills, experience with a teaching hospital setting preferred. - Preferred Qualifications:
SANE RN experience preferred; experience working with residents; familiarity with titration of critical drips. - Other Requirements:
Must have the last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and understanding of OSF Drug-Free Campus policy; active Illinois license confirmation required; requested time off must be specified during submission. - Department & Patient Care:
The ER handles all types of emergency care, including critical trauma, cardiac events, strokes, and general medical cases. Nurse-to-patient ratios vary between 1:3-5 based on acuity, with ED techs assisting at ratios of 1:9. - Staffing & Operational Details:
Continuous coverage with a minimum of three attendings, a charge nurse, house supervisor, and various support staff including nurse aides and respiratory therapists. RNs are expected to manage ventilators, monitor rhythms, and interpret Phillips monitors. - Additional Information:
Shift scheduling is flexible within the outlined parameters; floating to other units is rare; no specific scrub color mandated.
