Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN to join a Level I Trauma acute-care facility. The Cath Lab has 6 suites and manages approximately 4–20 cases per day
, including emergent cardiac procedures.

• Care for patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, and congenital conditions
• Support TAVR, Mitra Clip, and peripheral procedures
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms/strips
• Titrate IV drips as needed
• Function as part of a 3-person regular case team and 4-person call team
• Serve as the resource/charge RN while on call
• Respond to emergent cases during call shifts

• Active Illinois RN license or license application initiated
• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS (AHA) required
• Ability to read cardiac strips/rhythms
• Experience with drip titration
• BSN not required
• Must be comfortable with required call schedule

• EMR: EPIC
• Equipment: GE & Philips monitors, Mc Kesson
• Cath Lab is separate from IR and EP
• No floating required
• Scrubs provided
• Department orientation: 2–3 shifts

• 6–8 call shifts per month
  , including primary and backup call
• Weekend call approximately every 6–7 weeks
• Weekend call runs from Friday at 5:30 PM through Monday at 6:00 AM
• Additional 24-hour backup weekend shifts may occur approximately once per month

Facility may cancel up to 12 hours per 13 weeks without penalty. A negative drug screen is required.
