Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse – Stepdown

• Provide care for three patients with diverse medical conditions including respiratory and cardiac issues.
• Administer titratable drips and confirm telemetry readings.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Float to ICU or other Stepdown units as required based on experience.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse – Stepdown

• Active IL nursing license or proof of application initiation
• BLS certification required; ACLS recommended
• Proven ICU/Intermediate care experience with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1 or 2:1
• Proficiency in trach and vent care
