American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg-Cardiology unit requiring IL RN licensure and EPIC charting experience.

• Cardiac Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 7:00PM-7:00AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
• 13-week contract assignment
• Rotating weekend and holiday shifts required
• May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
• Uses EPIC charting system

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

• Responsible for a designated patient caseload utilizing the nursing process across the assigned shift
• Completes initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care
• Implements and modifies nursing interventions based on continuous evaluation
• Maintains accurate, up-to-date documentation to support care coordination across the healthcare team
• Reports and corrects safety hazards to support patient and employee safety
• Engages in professional development and peer feedback
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify (no local candidates accepted)
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Prior contingent workers who completed 1 year at Carle Health must have a 6-month break in service before returning
• First-time travelers may be considered
