Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Clinic Advanced) - Peoria, AZ Overview & Highlights
- Location: Peoria, AZ
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, with a Friday half-day reserved for administrative responsibilities and charting
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Compensation: $130,000-$155,000 per year, depending on experience
- Setting: On-site specialty clinic with exposure to gastroenterology, hepatology, liver disease, and clinical research

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a specialty clinical team in Peoria, Arizona. This position offers the opportunity to develop or expand expertise in gastroenterology, hepatology, liver disease, and clinical research while taking an active role in managing patients throughout their care.
Your day will include evaluating patients, conducting consultations and pretreatment reviews, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing follow-up care. You will serve as a key clinical point of contact for patients and families while collaborating closely with physicians on diagnoses, treatment decisions, and more complex cases.
The position also provides exposure to clinical research and emerging therapies. You will educate appropriate patients about therapeutic options available through on-site liver clinical trials and may participate in the clinical management of research patients.
This role is designed for an APP who wants meaningful responsibility for patient care while continuing to build specialty expertise, procedural skills, and clinical independence.

- Perform patient evaluations, consultations, pretreatment reviews, and follow-up care.
- Manage standard-of-care and applicable clinical research patients within established scope of practice.
- Assess and diagnose conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Serve as a primary clinical point of contact and assume responsibility for coordinating assigned patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and therapeutic options.
- Educate appropriate patients about available liver-related clinical trials and research opportunities.
- Collaborate with physicians regarding diagnoses, treatment decisions, and complex patient needs.
- Perform specialized in-clinic procedures, including Fibro Scan when appropriately trained and qualified.
- Make appropriate referrals for additional specialty evaluation and services.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Monitor quality-of-care metrics and consistently support established clinical standards.
- Participate autonomously in applicable APP call coverage based on training and departmental expectations.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Active license to practice as an NP or PA in Arizona
- Appropriate national board certification
