Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

Peoria, IL | Acute Care

Contract | Days | 36–40 hours per week | Onsite

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care across a high-volume general surgery OR environment with 14 dedicated general surgery suites and 20–40 cases per day
• Support a broad range of surgical procedures including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic colon and appendectomy, cystoscopy, DaVinci robotic cases, hysterectomy, vascular, ENT, and urology cases
• Collaborate with surgical technologists and charge nurses to facilitate efficient case flow and patient safety
• Participate in weeknight and weekend call assignments as scheduled, with a 30-minute call response time requirement
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC OP TIME EMR
• Float to other surgery teams or SPD as needed and if qualified

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in general surgery, gynecology, and urology within the OR setting
• Must have hands-on experience with general surgery, urology, GYN, and ENT cases
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must be able to pass a drug screen; facility maintains a drug-free campus policy

• Experience in a similarly sized facility and OR environment within the last 2 years
• Familiarity with DaVinci robotic surgical systems
• Experience working in high-volume, multi-suite OR departments

• Work in a large, well-resourced OR environment with a diverse and high-volume surgical caseload across multiple specialties
• Hospital-provided scrubs and a structured orientation program of up to one week of unit-specific training
