Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a surgical unit. This role involves providing patient care in a high-volume surgical environment, supporting various procedures including laparoscopic and robotic cases, with a focus on general, gynecology, and urology surgeries. The position requires dedicated OR experience and proficiency with electronic medical records.
Job Details- Schedule:
10-hour days with call shifts; hours are typically from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or from 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM, totaling a minimum of 40 hours per week. - Required Qualifications:
BLS (AHA), RN License, minimum of 2 years of experience in general surgery, gynecology, and urology; EPIC electronic medical record system proficiency; active IL license or confirmation of application process. - Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in facilities and operating rooms similar in size within the last 2 years, scrub experience; ability to work collaboratively with surgical technologists and charge nurses. - Shift & Scheduling:
Shifts are scheduled in blocks with no self-scheduling, determined by operational needs. - Additional Information:
- Shift hours are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM to total approximately 36 or 40 hours per week.
- Call requirements include one shift per week, with a response time of 30 minutes.
- Weekend coverage occurs every other or every third weekend, including full weekend shifts with accompanying call shifts.
- Float may be required to other surgery teams or sterile processing departments if qualified.
- Hospital-provided scrubs are required.
- Up to one week of unit‑specific orientation, plus hospital‑wide training, if needed.
- The position starts on 09/28/2026 and concludes on 01/11/2027.
