Join a dynamic Labor & Delivery travel nursing team in Peoria, IL, supporting mothers and newborns in a respected acute obstetric care setting. This 13-week Registered Nurse assignment offers consistent night shifts, strong clinical support, Epic charting, and the opportunity to work in a welcoming Central Illinois city with riverfront views and Midwest charm.
- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

- Setting: Acute Obstetric Care / Family Birthing Center
- Location: Peoria, IL 61637
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
- Start Date: September 28, 2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,400 - $2,530
- Charting System: Epic
- Orientation: 2 full OB Acute shifts, 1 L&D day, and 1 Women’s Care Unit day
- Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- Current BLS and NRP certifications
- At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery, postpartum nursing, or acute obstetric nursing experience preferred
- Strong assessment skills with experience caring for postpartum patients and newborns
- Ability to titrate ordered drips such as insulin or heparin
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team-oriented hospital environment
- Professional communication skills and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
- Provide high-quality nursing care for postpartum mothers, newborn infants, and Labor & Delivery patients
- Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status throughout the shift
- Administer and titrate medications per provider orders and unit protocols
- Support labor, recovery, postpartum, triage, and antepartum patient needs as assigned
- Collaborate closely with charge nurses, hospitalists, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Float within the Family Birthing Center and related women’s health areas as needed
- Document accurately in Epic and maintain clear, timely communication
- Deliver safe, patient-centered care while helping create a positive experience for families
