American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position supporting the GU/ENT surgical team, requiring IL RN licensure and rotating call.
Requirements- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- EPIC EMR charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma center experience required
- Operating room setting within a surgical services unit supporting the GU/ENT team
- Schedule consists of (4) 10-hour day shifts, consecutive days in a row
- Rotating evening and weekend call required
- Rotating weekend and holiday shifts
- May float to other Carle Health hospital locations within the system
- EPIC charting experience required
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room, including assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation for continuity of care
- Responsible for reporting and correcting patient and employee safety hazards
- Collaborate with the surgical team and contribute to peer professional development
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Previous Carle Health contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service if they were on assignment for more than 1 year before returning
