American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Neuro RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least three years of nursing experience and Illinois RN licensure.
Requirements- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Level 1 Trauma and Epic charting experience required for consideration
- Neurosciences Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 7:00PM-7:00AM, 3 shifts per week (36 hours)
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- May float to like units
- Uses Epic for charting
- Provide direct patient care to a designated caseload using the nursing process from admission through discharge
- Complete initial assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date nursing documentation for continuity of care
- Report and correct safety hazards to ensure patient and employee safety
- Support professional development through peer feedback and continued learning
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Workers may not remain on assignment at this health system for more than 1 year continuously without a 6-month break in service
