Job Overview
Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Full-time, onsite Client Services Technician 1 position located in Peoria, IL. Compensation: $17.00 per hour. The salary reflects geographic location, experience, education, skills, and alignment with internal equity guidelines.
About the RoleAt Pace, we aim to make the world a safer, healthier place. We are seeking curious, motivated individuals who are passionate about protecting our environment and communities. As a Client Services Technician, you will support sample receiving, courier, and laboratory processes.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and perform sample-related activities, including shipping, receiving, processing, and administration.
- Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, and materials as needed.
- Prepare your assigned vehicle for daily operations, including documentation, safety checks, and basic maintenance.
- Maintain and update documentation, logs, and databases to ensure accurate sample tracking.
- Participate in training on core laboratory support policies, programs, and practices.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain all required licenses and certifications.
- Knowledge of safe driving, customer service, and sample transport principles.
- Ability to learn and follow organizational policies, procedures, and transportation protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required. We’ll train you.
- Ability to perform work in a lab or office setting, remain standing for long periods, work around strong odors, and wear required PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves).
Mobility to work in a lab and office setting, use standard office and lab equipment, and stamina to sit or stand for extended periods. May require lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally or 10 pounds frequently. Vision to read printed materials and computer screens; hearing and speech to communicate.
Working EnvironmentWork is performed on the road, in the lab, and in an office setting. It may involve travel, changing weather conditions, exposure to blood or bodily fluids, chemicals, fumes, gases, and noxious odors. Environmental safety procedures and PPE are mandatory.
