- Lead Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory Affairs oversight for an assigned portfolio of contract manufacturing partners
- Provide strategic direction to strengthen food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance programs
- Assess and manage network risk through audits, site assessments, performance reviews, consumer complaint analysis, and evaluation of corrective and preventive actions
- Influence contract manufacturing partners and cross-functional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
- Strengthen quality systems and resolve complex food safety and quality concerns
- Provide technical leadership for product commercialization, process changes, investigations, and significant quality or food safety events
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risks and trends
- Develop risk-based strategies to improve operational performance and protect brand integrity
- Report to the Food Safety Quality & Regulatory Affairs Manager
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biological Science, Chemistry, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in food safety, quality, regulatory affairs, supplier quality, contract manufacturing, or food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of Food Safety Modernization Act, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, Preventive Controls, Good Manufacturing Practices, Global Food Safety Initiative certification programs, and food manufacturing quality systems
- Demonstrated experience conducting audits, assessing risk, leading investigations, and influencing continuous improvement initiatives across multiple stakeholders
- Professional certifications such as Preventive Controls Qualified Individual, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, Safe Quality Food Practitioner, Lead Auditor, or related certifications preferred
- Travel up to 50% depending on projects and business needs
- May be required to walk around manufacturing facilities, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, perform repetitive hand-eye coordination tasks, and lift or carry materials of varying weight and size
- Ability to work in manufacturing environments with large moving equipment, high noise levels, and varying temperatures
Demonstrates expertise in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs, with a strong focus on compliance programs, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Proven ability to lead audits, influence stakeholders, and develop strategies that enhance operational performance and protect brand integrity.
