POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Associate Lead is primarily responsible for supporting management in general operations of the store to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability. Performs various sales and register transactions.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Promote customer service by ensuring associates greet and assist customers, and by responding to inquiries and complaints in a professional, timely manner.
- Perform basic operations such as cash handling and reporting, price changes, merchandise handling, and opening and closing duties; review time‑sheet and payroll documentation for accuracy.
- Monitor associate sales activities and productivity; acknowledge, communicate, and motivate performance to achieve full potential.
- Maintain customer awareness to increase service levels and reduce security risks; stay current on operational policies regarding payments, exchanges, and security practices.
- Keep up‑to‑date knowledge of current sales and promotions and present merchandise in accordance with these promotions.
- Support and administer receipt and dispatch of inventory and supplies in accordance with company policy.
- Supervise associates engaged in sales, inventory receipt, cash receipt reconciliation, or customer service; prepare weekly schedules to ensure proper floor coverage within fiscal guidelines.
- Model sales expectations by utilizing various techniques, communicating product knowledge, and recommending merchandise selections based on customer needs and desires.
- Build and maintain a solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobe management.
- Maintain standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties directed by management.
- Participate in and facilitate visual directives, including monthly store sets and merchandise replenishment.
- Assist in the development of store associates by interpreting key performance indicator reports and delivering coaching as needed; provide feedback to the Store Manager for associate performance appraisals and evaluations.

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Minimum 2 years of prior retail or sales management experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills.
- Able to travel to stores throughout the district.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
- Ability to communicate with customers, stand and maneuver on the sales floor and stockroom, operate the register, lift and carry 50 pounds, hand/fold merchandise, and climb, reach, push, and pull.
- Regular attendance is essential to ensure adequate coverage.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Wage range: $16.00 to $20.00, determined based on qualifications.
