Cashier​/Sales Associate

At The Peoria International Airport, we operate The Junction – a full‑service dining and retail destination featuring a wide menu of snacks, meals, beverages, and gift shop merchandise.

We are hiring upbeat, hardworking individuals for all positions and shifts in our restaurant and gift shop. Both full‑time and part‑time opportunities are available, and we offer flexible scheduling to support a balanced work/life experience.

• Deliver exceptional guest service through personal contact with guests
• Process register transactions in accordance with company policies
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding tobacco, alcohol, and lottery sales, including carding of all guests as required
• Meet local health requirements for food handling
• Assist in the production, preparation, packaging, and serving of food and beverage items
• Assist with receiving and stocking procedures, unloading merchandise from trucks, and checking shipments
• Stage merchandise for the sales floor and stock all store areas, including beverage coolers
• Maintain proper date codes by placing newer items in the back and older items up front
• Fill merchandise and downstock as needed to keep the store fully stocked
• Recover and face merchandise to company standards
• Ticket and sign store merchandise correctly
• Execute corporate price changes and clearance markdowns
• Ensure the overall restaurant remains neat, clean, organized, and free of debris
• Perform janitorial tasks, including cleaning of floors, windows, work areas, and equipment
• Adhere to dress code guidelines as outlined in the employee handbook
• Perform other duties as assigned by the store’s leadership team
• Report to work on time and in uniform for scheduled hours

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read a computer monitor and understand basic POS functions
• Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure
• One year of food handling experience preferred
• High School diploma preferred

• Lifting, pushing, and pulling boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
• Frequent kneeling, bending, and stooping
• Climbing ladders to stock merchandise in high locations
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Must be available to work a schedule that meets the needs of the business
