Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber, dynamic sales professional with a proven track record in IT Services and Engineering R&D (ER&D) sales
. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between traditional IT services and deep automotive engineering, driving business growth by selling complex embedded systems, software solutions, and digital transformation services into the automotive and mobility sectors.
- Experience Level: 6–12+ years (Scalable based on seniority)
- Target Domain: Automotive OEMs, Tier-1 Suppliers, and Mobility Tech players.
- Target Background: Prior experience in tier-1/tier-2 IT & Engineering Services companies
- Revenue Generation & Pipeline Management: Own and drive end-to-end sales cycles from prospecting to closure, achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Strategic Account Management: Nurture and scale large automotive accounts, moving up the value chain from staff augmentation to managed services and outcome-based engineering contracts.
- Solution Selling: Effectively pitch core offerings, including Autonomous Driving (AD/ADAS), Electric Powertrain (EV), Connected Vehicles, AUTOSAR, and Vehicle Diagnostics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with delivery leads, solution architects, and practice heads to construct winning technical and commercial proposals (RFPs/RFIs).
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of automotive trends (SDVs—Software Defined Vehicles, Cloud-to-Car tech) to position as a thought leader and preferred engineering partner.
1. Professional Experience
- Must have a solid background working within top-tier Engineering Services or IT Consulting firms
- Proven track record of managing a sales portfolio of $3M–$10M+ annually in the technology services space.
- Deep understanding of the consultative sales process for Embedded Software Development, Validation/Testing (HIL/SIL), and Digital Engineering.
- Strong familiarity with the automotive ecosystem, including standard protocols and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE, AUTOSAR).
- A healthy blend of understanding traditional enterprise IT services (Cloud, Analytics, IoT) and how they converge with vehicle engineering (Connected Car, Telematics).
- An active, existing network of contacts among decision-makers (Directors, VPs, CXOs) within Automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
- Excellent negotiation skills with experience handling complex master service agreements (MSAs) and statement of works (SOWs).
